University Relations and Development

Courtney Burke

Development Director

Courtney joined the EUSA Boston team in the spring of 2016 as the Development Director. She brings over ten years of experience in international education, primarily focusing on international student recruitment, international internships, and university partnership management and development both in the US and Europe. Originally part of the University Relations Team at EUSA until 2011, Courtney is excited to be part of the EUSA family again and is looking forward to being back home in Boston after 5 years across the pond.

Courtney formerly worked in the UK in the International Office at the University of Reading as their Regional Officer for the Americas, and before moving to England, she was the Program Manager for the Fulbright Commission in Dublin, Ireland. Courtney received her BA from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts where she spent a year studying abroad at the University of York. Having enjoyed her year abroad so much, Courtney decided to look overseas for her Master’s degree, and received her MA in Contemporary Migration and Diaspora Studies from University College Cork in Ireland in 2012, where she focused her research on the experiences and motivations of American undergraduate students at Irish universities.

In her spare time, Courtney loves to try new food, enjoys tennis, and, of course, has a passion for travel! Prague is her new favorite city, but Cork in Ireland will always be her second home.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies and Spanish from American University. Marisa discovered her calling for study abroad during her junior year in college when she spent a semester in Santiago, Chile. Chile remains at the top of her travel destinations along with the remainder of the South American continent, Eastern Europe and Italy.

Tony WilburTony Wilbur

University Relations Manager

Tony joined the EUSA team as a University Relations Manager in May 2011. Prior to that, he worked for a small Boston-area homestay company. Like many others within the field, his study and work abroad experiences inspired him to pursue a career in international education. While attaining his BA in English at the University of Southern Maine, Tony was fortunate enough to spend a semester in King Alfred's College in Winchester, England and work abroad in Dublin, Ireland. After graduating and working in a small admissions office in Maine, it dawned on Tony that study abroad could be more than an academic and personal growth experience - it could be a career! He promptly moved to Boston to pursue an MA in Intercultural Relations at Lesley University, gaining experience in their Register's Office and as a Resident Director along the way.

Tony spends his spare time traveling for pleasure, enjoying the Boston music scene, camping, hiking, and visiting friends and family in Maine.

Shelby Harvey

University Relations Manager

Shelby joined EUSA in July 2013. A Buffalo, New York native, Shelby completed her BA in Spanish at SUNY Geneseo. Following graduation, she joined AmeriCorps VISTA coordinating community service and service learning opportunities at Keuka College. Prior to joining EUSA, Shelby worked in student services and program management for the School of Professional and Extended Studies at American University in Washington, DC. Her work at AU and her own study abroad experience in Costa Rica instilled her with a passion for international experiential education. During her time at AU, she completed her MA in International Training and Education. In her spare time Shelby enjoys baking, reading, traveling, and running.

Andie D'Agostino

University Relations Coordinator

Andie joined the EUSA Boston team in August of 2016 as the University Relations Coordinator. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in 2015. As a student, she spent two semesters abroad in Rome, Italy, and Berlin, Germany, where she conducted research on public spaces in each city. As a result of her time overseas, Andie developed a passion for traveling and learning languages.

After graduation, she spent a year working at her alma mater in their admissions office. During that time, she also interned in the Center for Global Education, assisting in the production of their publication The Aleph: a journal of global perspective.

In addition to her responsibilities in the EUSA Boston office, she is currently pursuing a Masters degree in International Education at Lesley University in Cambridge, MA.
