Through the customized programs we develop for our educational partners, EUSA places over 2,000 students per year across Europe in professional practice internships. EUSA's operations on the ground in Europe have been placing American students in internships since 1984.

As a result, EUSA has a vast database that includes thousands of quality internships in London, Dublin, Madrid and Paris. These unpaid placements span a wide variety of industry sectors including:

  • Politics, NGOs
  • Advertising, Marketing, Public Relations
  • Business, Finance, Economics
  • Television, Film, Journalism
  • Arts, Culture
  • Healthcare, Social Issues, Education

EUSA begins the internship placement process by meeting with a student for an individual consultation (either in-person on their home campus or by telephone) to discuss their academic requirements for the placement, their career objectives, interests, and skills.  Placement Managers will engage students in an honest discussion about placement opportunities, assess language skills, suggest changes to their resumes, and begin to set students’ expectations and understanding of the culture in which they will be working.

Our Placement Teams look to long-standing relationships with trusted internship supervisors as well as seeking out completely new placements to best match the needs of the individual student. Our Placement Managers enjoy working with university students precisely because of their fresh perspectives and evolving interests and goals and this is reflected in the care and attention devoted to each individual placement.

EUSA offers placement opportunities through sponsor relationships with both small, dynamic local organizations, as well as market-leading multi-national businesses including:

  • American Express
  • Citigroup
  • Sotheby's
  • Universal Pictures
  • The Wall Street Journal
  • Ogilvy & Mather
  • L'Oreal
  • and thousands of others

All placements are academically directed and result in credit granted by our educational partners. EUSA builds programs that place students for both summer and full-semester internships.

EUSA is a Tier 4 sponsor in the UK.

EUSA is a not-for-profit internship organization specializing in customized, academically-directed programs in
London, Dublin, Madrid, Paris, and Prague.
